ACT4 SCENE 1
[In the next 10 minutes,Jessica enters stella gate opened by
the gateman. She knocks on the door but no response and so decides to enter].
JESSICA:(Inside the living room).Stella...where is this lady...stella(she enters the inner living room only to see stella with a man. Looking closer, she discovers it is desmond and she screams which wakes them up].
JESSICA: Desmond...desmond..(the scream made them awake)..
DESMOND:(seeing her)Jess....Jessica its not what you think...
JESSICA: So this is what you people do...my best friend with my husband ....having sex...oh my God.....
DESMOND: Please it is not so...(he goes to touch her....wearing only boxers)..
JESSICA: Dont touch me..you beast(she screams)..i never want to see you again..(she faces stella).. and to you stella you are a betraying friend i thought you have changed but...no you are still a slut..desmond it is over between us (she throws his ring to him as he follows her seeing a sign from stella,he took a statue and hits Jessica on the head with it.Jessica falls bleeding profusely as her body stays lifeless).
DESMOND: Ha...she is dead.
STELLA: Well...you thought of doing it before..
DESMOND: Yes...but not like this...(sweating as fear grips him.....)
STELLA: We..had no choice...we have to take her body out of here to avoid traces...
DESMOND:I think i know where to dump the body..but i cant go now it is too early..
STELLA: Lets carry the body to the back so when night comes it will be easy..
DESMOND: Ok...(they carry the body to the back].
STELLA:(after taking the body to the back,they go back to the living room discussing)
Wow...desmond so you mean you were never in love with her...
DESMOND: Not at all...i did all that because i was poor and needed money...the woman i ever wished was you..(he holds her hand).....she was a boring woman with wealth that all..
STELLA: Hmmm....i love men like you....
DESMOND: And i desire women like you...in other to avoid traces what about the security man....?
STELLA: Leave him to me..i know what to do..am coming (she goes into the kitchen,gets juice and pours it inside a glass cup. She puts in some substance inside the juice and takes it to the security man)
STELLA: Akpan..Akpan
SECURITY MAN: Maram..i dey here oh..
STELLA:I dey celebrate my birthday i say make i give you this juice...(she hands over the glass of juice to him)..
SECURITY MAN: Chai...maram..thank you(he drinks it)...maram the thing sweet well..well.
STELLA: Yes..(she takes the cup..
SECURITY MAN: Maram happy birthday.....
STELLA: Thank you..(she leaves)...
[As the hours passes by,desmond puts the body
inside the boot of his car while the security man is fast asleep due to the juice he drank. He drives out of the house very late at night to a far away roadside. He carries her body out from the boot inside the bush and dumps it there. He locks his boot... enters his car and zooms off]

 [Desmond gets home picks his phone to call the police].
DESMOND: Hello...please is this the Nigerian police.
VOICE: Yes...what can we do for you...
DESMOND: This is concerning my wife...she left since morning and she is not back..i have tried calling her number but no response...
VOICE: Please....sir be calm...just wait till tommorow morning..if she is not still back,report to our office..
DESMOND: Ok...thank you..(he ends the call)..
 [Suddenly stella calls his mobile phone].
STELLA: Hello...babe..
DESMOND: Its done...for now we have to distance ourselves to avoid any suspicion..
STELLA: For how long..
DESMOND: Still when the case is totally over..
STELLA:I want to really feel you...
DESMOND: Come on stella be serious for once...we have to make our plans go as planned and to achieve that....bury your sexual desires...(he ends the call)..women and their stupid way of life..(he goes upstairs...to take his bath and probably sleep that is his business)..
  [The next day,some policemen came in Desmond's house after enough search for Jessica].
 DESMOND:What are you saying...officer that you cannot find my wife....no this is absurd..
INSPECTOR: Please calm down Mr desmond...my men are still searching for her...can you call me the security man....
DESMOND:(Breathes in).ok i will calm down...(he goes outside to call the gateman)..ahmmed..ahmmed..
GATEMAN: Kai...oga you callu me...
DESMOND: Yes...i called you...follow me to the living room..
GATEMAN: I hope say wahala no dey...
DESMOND: Follow me fool...(he follows him as they get to the living room)..
INSPECTOR: Ahmmed...we are the Nigerian police...
GATEMAN: I dey see am..
INSPECTOR: Now...when last did you see your madam..
GATEMAN: Ha...madam don lose..
DESMOND: Answer the question fool...
GATEMAN: Madam comot from here since morning yesterday..
INSPECTOR:Did she by any chance tell you where she was going..
GATEMAN:Madam no tell me anything...
(Immediately,an officer calls the inspector..).
INSPECTOR: Hello..this is inspector..john...ha...ok..fine.
DESMOND:Who was that inspector...any news...
INSPECTOR:Your wife is still missing....but my boys found an empty car dropped at a roadside. The documents inside the car collocates with the details of your wife...
DESMOND: Ha....officer..are you telling me...my wife is really missing.
INSPECTOR: My boys are still checking that environ...its shows she is either kidnapped or murdered...
DESMOND:What....no officer not my wife...not my wife...(he calms him)..
INSPECTOR: We...just hope it is a kidnap..i will take my leave now... .(the inspector and his men takes their leave as the gateman follows behind..and desmond cleans his crocodile tears).

[Dropped in the thick bush far away from home,two farmers were in the bush going to cultivate their crops as they see Jessica's body].
FARMER 1:What is that i see?
FARMER 2:Like what?
FARMER 1:Does that not look like an human being (the second farmer looks well).
FARMER 2:I think so...let us go closer...to confirm (they move closer and sees the body).
FARMER 1:Ha...it is truely a human...(he touch her chest...).ha..she is not dead oh...she is still breathing oh..come and touch her chest(the other farmer touches her chest)..
FARMER 2:True....she is still breathing despite this condition. Let us take her to the hospital...
FARMER 1:No...oh take her..ha ..no...what if she dies in our hands...the hospital will report to the police and that is problem....to us
FARMER 2:Come on..come on we are two here....moreover we have our identity card to show we are civilised farmers and we saw her dumped in our farmland...
FARMER: Hmm....ok now....lets take her to a nearby hospital...(they carry her to the hospital...)
[Meanwhile,Desmond's family are in the house with him].
DESMOND:Ha...my wife...
MAMA DESMOND:So she just disappeared...that is strange..
RITA:So...brother is there any news...is she dead or alive...so that you can re-marry...
MAMA DESMOND:What your sister said is true desmond...she was not yieldful...no children..so we have to know if she is dead or alive..
DESMOND:Mama....the police are still on the case....
RITA:Well...brother i am sure she is gone..forget about her and remarry....
DESMOND:I cannot do that now?
MAMA DESMOND:Why?
DESMOND:Because the case is not yet closed. When i get a proper report about her....then i will take the next step...please i am tired i want to rest...(he goes upstairs as his mother and sister looks with confusion....)
 [Jessica was rushed into the intensive care unit as the farmers sits to wait for news. After an hour and some minutes,the doctor comes out as the farmers are sleeping].
DOCTOR:Gentlemen...please wake up...(he taps them)
FARMERS:(They wake up).Hmm...doctor..how is she...?
DOCTOR:She is stable now...she was hit too hard and something so hard but she lucky because it was very close to her brain.We also discovered...she..???????????????????

[Back on the next episode as the farmers wait to hear the other part...of the news]
DOCTOR:She is stable now....she was hit too hard and something so hard but she is lucky because it was very close to her brain.We also discovered...she has an injury on her oviduct that is her fallopian tube due to the harsh incident..
FARMER1:What!...so what does that mean..doctor.......?
DOCTOR:She...she is on a high probabilty of not becoming pregnant.... again..because the internal injury in the oviduct was deep.. fertilization takes place in the oviduct...
FARMER 2:Ho...doctor that is a sad news for her...
DOCTOR:Seeing her case someone hit her hard and dropped her in the bush...i will have to call the police...(suddenly a nurse runs in....to meet the doctor)
NURSE:Doctor..doctor the patient is awake..(the doctor goes with the nurse as the farmer follows behind)
JESSICA:Wher...where am i?
DOCTOR:You are in the hospital....you were hit and dumped in the bush..but these men here brought you here..
JESSICA:Desmond....stella...ha my head...(she touches her bandaged head)
DOCTOR:Sorry... its due to the pain...but everything will be fine...
I was thinking of calling the police.. before....
JESSICA:Dont worry...doctor..as..as you said everything is ok..please call my uncle..
DOCTOR:Ok...but if i may ask why...?
JESSICA:For personal reasons doctor...call me my uncle....and tell him its jessica williams.....he should come alone that i cannot trust anybody except for him....
DOCTOR:Can i have his number..(he brings a sheet as she calls it and he dates it down)..ok i will go to my office to call the number now.
JESSICA:Ok...doctor..
DOCTOR:The nurse will give you tablets that will ease the pain and bring rest...so nurse administer her..
NURSE:Ok...doctor
JESSICA:(To the farmers).Thank you s...sirs for saving my life..
FARMER 1:Dont worry madam just rest...
FARMER 2:Yes..rest madam...(jessica takes her drugs and sleep as the farmers and nurse leave.)
 [In the doctor's office he calls jessica's uncle].
DOCTOR:Hello..good afternoon....i am doctor amos of Healings hospital...yes sir...i have a patient here..one jessica williams..she said she is your niece and needs to see you alone without telling anyone...yeah the hospital is at links road,ikorodu...ok see you sir..(he ends the call)
  [After some minutes, mr Franklin got to the hospital.Seeing the nurses he was directed to the doctor's office]
DOCTOR:(Hears a knock on the door)....yes come in...(he comes in)...
UNCLE FRANKLIN:Good afternoon doctor....
DOCTOR:Afternoon....please sit down.....(he sits)...what can i do for you...?
UNCLE FRANKLIN:You called me minutes ago concerning my niece Jessica williams.....
DOCTOR:Oh...welcome sir.....your niece is stable....and wants to see you.....please follow me....(he follows the doctor as the scene ends...)

[This shows Jessica lying on the hospital with her uncle at her side].
UNCLE FRANKLIN:So all this happened...and you did not let me know..
JESSICA:Uncle i had suspected desmond but not stella...i never knew she was in a relationship with desmond....the day i knew was the day i was hit...
UNCLE FRANKLIN:Then we have to call the police..to get them arrested....
JESSICA:Uncle if i have wanted that...i would have done it....i want to play this game my way...
UNCLE FRANKLIN:Come on...come on..child we are lucky you did not die..
JESSICA:Uncle i...raised desmond and his family... even when dad and mum were against him....i stood by him....i had always been a good friend to stella....how can they do this to me....my womb is destroyed..my life is empty and full of sorrow....truely the heart of men is wicked..(cries)
UNCLE FRANKLIN:Child please calm down...please....the doctor said there is still a probability..for child bearing...

UNCLE FRANKLIN:Ok...i have heard you child.That is by the way....the doctor said you are fine and will be discharged today....meanwhile i got a call from desmond..
JESSICA:Then...Uncle...i would want you to pay him a visit to avoid suspicions....act like you never knew...
UNCLE FRANKLIN:Fine.....jessica....i will..rest for now.
  [3 days passed,desmond,stella and the police are found in desmond house still on jessica's case as her uncle comes in....]
INSPECTOR:A week has passed now and still no result....(he faces desmond)
STELLA:My...friend...my best friend cannot be dead...she cannot..
(Uncle franklin enters)
UNCLE FRANKLIN:What..what...was that you told me on the phone?
DESMOND:Uncle this is..inspector john and inspector this is jessica's uncle....
UNCLE FRANKLIN:Welcome inspector...what is this about...where is jessica...?
DESMOND:Uncle...jessica has been missing for a week now....
UNCLE FRANKLIN:What...and you never told me....(he stood up)
DESMOND:Uncle...i was thinking the police would handle it...

INSPECTOR:Sir....we think it either a kidnap or she is dead...but we have waited for a week but no call...so we think she..she dead..

INSPECTOR:That is what still baffles us...
STELLA;My friend never made enemity with anybody...
UNCLE FRANKLIN:This is....unbelievable..highly unimaginable...(he stands up and take his leave).
DESMOND:Uncle...uncle...(he sits down and clears his throat)..inspector...i think there is something i want to tell you......

[Uncle franklin stands up to leave as desmond calls him back].
DESMOND:Uncle........uncle....(he sits down and clears his throat)...inspector...i think there is something i want to tell you.....i never said this before because i do not want to bring up issues...but i think i must tell you now..
INSPECTOR: Ok..am...all ears...Mr desmond..
DESMOND:You see inspector....my wife,Jessica was never in good terms with her uncle....she told me she was quarrelling with her uncle on her father's properties....
INSPECTOR:So are you telling me....your wife told you this....
DESMOND: yes..inspector.... before the incident,she told me she was going to meet........with her uncle to resolve the issue...
INSPECTOR:This....is just what we need....this means her uncle is a prime suspect....
DESMOND: Please....inspector do not tell him i said this....because that man is highly dangerous...
INSPECTOR:Dont worry...Mr desmond...we will get him...ok..we will get him....i will take my leave now..
DESMOND:Let me see you off...inspector...(he follows the inspector outside)...so inspector when do i get news...
INSPECTOR:Soon as possible...
DESMOND:Ok...
Inspector...(he leaves with the sergeants..as desmond goes inside his house,and locks the door).
STELLA:That stupid man wants to spoil our plan...
DESMOND:He is my biggest threat now..i have to get him out of the way...
STELLA:That was a smart one you played there...now the police will be after him..
DESMOND:Yes...then he will be out of the way and case closed....(they laugh)..........
STELLA:Hmm...(she comes close to him)I have really missed you.....desmond.....
DESMOND:Not as...crazy as i desire you..(he carries her as they kiss going upstairs.......)
 [After the day work,inspector john goes home as he drives in,his gateman comes to him].
GATEMAN: Oga...welcome..
INSPECTOR: Yes...thank you musa...
GATEMAN: Ehe...oga..two people dey here...one man and one woman...
INSPECTOR:You mean inside my house....?
GATEMAN:yes...oga
INSPECTOR: How..many times have i told not to allow anyone in when i am not around..

INSPECTOR:Rubbish...(he close the door to his car and goes inside)
NINA:Honey welcome..

NINA:Honey....these people are here to see..you...but i was surprised when i saw my long school friend here...(he looks and sees uncle franklin and jessica)...honey this is Jessica...my best friend...and jessica this is sam my husband..
