After being
reported to have been in "grave condition", Mary Tyler Moore has passed away.
The Iconic actress reportedly died on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, surrounded by family and friends.
Moore's rep confirmed the sad news to Us Weekly in a statement that read, "Today, beloved icon Mary Tyler Moore passed away at the age of 80 in the company of friends and her loving husband of over 33 years, Dr. S. Robert Levine.
"A groundbreaking actress, producer, and passionate advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Mary will be remembered as a fearless visionary who turned the world on with her smile."
Earlier, TMZ reported that the "Naked Truth" alum had been rushed to the hospital as family members rushed to be by her side.
Moore who is best known for playing Mary Richards on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 33 and has battled the disease for years.
The Hollywood star died at the age of 80.
